Embarking upon a new fitness program can be a challenging task. Here are six steps to ensure you start down the right path to health.
1) What’s your starting point? Before embarking on any fitness program, it is important that you first assess your own level of health and fitness. If you have not been regularly exercising, you should check with your doctor before taking the next step. At the very least, plan to start slow and build your way up.
2) Set your goals. What are you trying to achieve? Weight loss? A more muscular body? Write down short term concrete goals that will guide you. One goal might be to lose ten pounds. Another might be to move up to a more difficult level on the stationary bike. Goals are important for several reasons.
1 Comment »For the millions of consumers around the planet that checked off weight-loss as their number one goal during the New Year, the resounding retail numbers are staggering in favor of two of the leading diet pills: Alli (a newer diet pill made by GlaxoSmithKline), and Phenocal, (a groundbreaking diet pill manufactured by Pharmaxa Labs–a leading nutraceutical company). In light of many diet pill recalls, combined with the many side effects that are associated with popular prescribed weight-loss drugs, the high sales of both Phenocal and Alli should come as no surprise. Both are available over-the-counter, and both are void of any dangerous side effects. However, Alli is a fat-blocker, and works by using enzymes in the body to block a quarter of the fat that is ingested, whereas Phenocal actually suppresses the appetite and boosts the metabolic and fat-burning potential of the body. Similarly, both supplements are taken by mouth daily.
