Food for many has become a battleground; it exists in a way beyond nourishment into fulfillment. Sometimes we actively eat to satiate something other than hunger. We eat to feel better, to forget, to be in control, to relax and let go. The list goes on. It is when we for anything other than hunger that we have created this struggle, this battle with food. It is a habit formed to help ourselves to deal with something bigger, more "powerful", than we can cope with. So we resort to food as a way to put it off. Food is not the problem; it is not bigger than what it is. It is what we have allocated to eating; it is the power we have given it in our lives.

Food exists simply to nourish our bodies; it is when we replace that by emotions and thoughts that we lose the simplicity of it. Have you ever found yourself eating simply to eat?

Inline skating and roller skating are recognized by fitness professionals as one of the most effective ways to burn calories and increasing cardiovascular and respiratory fitness. No other exercise works your core, as well as shaping your glute, legs, and stomach muscles like inline skating. Inline Skating is also a highly injury-prone sport, or it was until fitness entrepreneur Thomas Demme developed the Skaters Coach.

The Skaters Coach is a wheeled device which provides stability and balance for inline and roller skaters of all ages.

Ratio Eating - Carbs and Proteins While there is debate whether or not you should eat before a workout, most experts believe that post-workout nutrition is extremely important. After a hard workout your muscles are literally starving for quality foods and are very receptive during this window of opportunity.

The increase in enzyme activity makes it prime time for muscle building off of the protein and regaining energy from the sugars you receive. It terms of carbs, it's important to include a mix of low to high GI(glycemic index) ones, so you can get an almost immediate boost and then a sustained energy for the next couple of hours. A popular way to measure the balance of carbs and proteins you should have is using a 4:1 ratio of carbs to proteins.
