SageMother, “head” therapy is a very important part of correcting eating disorders, isn’t it?

I mean, it’s all about a person’s perception of what they think is the best shape for them.

Katharina, anorexia is really not something I’m too knowledgeable about. Is it even medically categorized as a disease?

If these can’t be seen as diseases then looking at their causes has to address some ugly social problems that must be eliminated.

Do you think society, and more importantly those who profit from our being in constant “self improvement” mode, can adjust its demands that lead to not only eating disorders, but other conditions that are based on “not being good enough”?

I think that this is more applicable to girls rather than boys because girls are more concerned about their figure. I haven’t seen a boy that has eating disorder.
