A Liposuction and breast lift Tandem
Teresa Garwood – Teresa is a 27 year old young lady who just got engaged to her long time boyfriend. Ever since she was a little girl, Teresa was always just a little bit overweight. When she turned 25, she decided she was through with it and started to exercise and eat right. After 1 and half year she has managed to loose over 70 pounds and has gone down several dress sizes. Still, Teresa suffers from fat pockets and excess skin on her abdomen. A friend recommended that she gets a tummy tuck procedure to remove the excess fat.
So she went for a free consultation and was happy with what she heard. Her tummy tuck story continues when she also opted to have a liposuction as well as a breast lift because all her weight loss has left her with skin folds and sagging breasts. She underwent the procedure and woke up in pain. But she relates that with the prescribed medicine the pain was effectively managed. She had taken 3 weeks off work in order to recuperate. She is better now and has never felt happier about her body. She says that she has never regretted having the operation.
Tummy Tuck as the Best Decision
Marianne Phillips – Marianne is a 43 year old mother of three. Since giving birth to her babies, her abdomen became so stretched and she had fat pockets and skin flaps that hung over her pelvic area. She became depressed about her body and her husband and family did not know what to do.
Her sister in law recommended that she get a consultation for plastic surgery. She did and she was convinced that she should get a tummy tuck. She talked about the matter with her husband extensively because of the substantial amount of money that would eventually cost them. After a long period of discussion they decided to go for it. Marianne took 2 weeks off work as her recovery period. After waking up form anesthesia, she was in such pain and she was so swollen that she regretted having the surgery at all. She felt depressed and selfish thinking that the money may have been used for something else that could have benefited the entire family. As her recovery progressed, the feelings of regret went away especially when she noticed the change in her appearance. She now says that having the tummy tuck was the best decision she has done.
You can get a referral sheet from your cosmetic surgeon and find a list of patients that he has worked on. You can contact these people and see if they are satisfied with how their surgery turned out. Be vigilant though, and verify all claims. There are more tummy tuck stories around and people like you should hear them out before finally deciding to have plastic surgery or not.

Thanks for dropping by!
I think it is great to be able to read others stories about their experiences. I think this may help others in making a decision.
I personally do not think I would ever choose to have surgery of this nature.
Good to read about some positive stories. It seems like we mostly hear about it when surgeries goes bad. I’m glad that these two women got feel that they have a better life now.
I think that anything one chooses to do to enhance their appearance should be approached with caution. Tummy Tucks are great after having children. I think everyone should have the chance to choose to have one or not.
Although I wouldn’t personally make the same decision, I think it’s great to see people getting some self esteem back and being happy from decisions like this.
MrsH, I think bad stories also happen when there is just too much expectation.
Cosmetic surgeries can improve, but it’s not the solution to everything. You still have to do your part post surgery.
EviesEarth, to tell you the truth, if I had the money, I would……
SageMother, it is also a very price option!
Katharina, isn’t it funny that we differ so much from each other, especially in the self-esteem issue.
I just had a girlfriend get her intestines stapled. She dug into her savings plan to dish out 20 grand to have the procedure done.
She thinks it’s the best thing that could ever have happened to her.
Yes, I think it’s wonderful that people are so different. If everyone would be the same, how could we learn anything from each other?
I believe that it is also important to take care of the shape of our body. I would also like to have a tummy tuck and breast lift, being a mother of two. It will surely help improve my self-esteem if I can have that surgery. Just wondering if I can ever afford it.
Geline, anytime you talk about cosmetic improvements, it is going to cost you and arm and a leg!
And perhaps your whole bank account. Let me know if you figure out a way around it because I’d also like to figure out how I can afford a couple of enhancements on my wish list!
