Today, I am six sizes smaller and working my way to lose about two sizes more. I worked so very hard and made so many sacrifices. I read all the right books, worked my butt off at the gym, and stayed away from the wrong foods. Losing 70 pounds and keeping it off is no walk in the park.
In the meantime, Mary Jo Benson, who has been fighting obesity since childhood, lost 75 pounds by going on The Low Carb Chocolate Lovers Diet. Okay….. so being on a low-carb diet is no stroll in the park either, but at least she didn’t have to cut down on the chocolate!
I have a sweet tooth and when I first started the diet, I had to mentally prepare myself for the absence of one of my great loves in life. It was really a big thing for me because as an emotional eater, chocolate tops my number one list of comfort foods.
Believe me, I have tried to find every possible substitute available in the diet market to cut the cravings out including zinc and sugar-free chocolate. And you know what I found? Once you are addicted to the real stuff, everything else just becomes a poor excuse for subsitution. It just doesn’t seem very fair, does it?
So here’s the deal on The Low Carb Chocolate Lovers Diet:
“This is an eating strategy that will allow you to indulge in chocolate every single day - and put an end to those persistent sugar cravings that cause insulin spikes, low energy levels and a slew of related health problems. You can eat freely from the allowed foods, and occasionally indulge in enough different food groups that you’ll never get bored.”
Oh my, does it get any better than this…. somebody is actually telling me I can have chocolate every day!
Not to mention that this is pretty much an interesting diet without a lot of food restrictions. Just cut out carbs and eat the recommended food groups listed on their website. I really like the part where I can have “unlimited” portions and of course, since I just can’t help extolling the virtues of this diet, daily chocolate. For me, this doesn’t sound too restrictive and could probably make me a less crankier person. This diet could make my husband a very happy man.
You can view more information about the diet at Low Carb Specialties.
Feedback people. Feedback. Tell me what you think.
I am going to try this diet out.

Diet and Chocolate - Why You Don’t Have To Give Up One For the Other…
Almost four years ago I started the diet that ended all diets.
Today, I am six sizes smaller and working my way to lose about two sizes more. I worked so very hard and made so many sacrifices. I read all the right books, worked my butt off at the gym…
wow! Why didn’t I see this one before? This is MY diet for sure. Chocolate is always my downfall. A diet which lets me eat chocolate everyday would defiently work for me.
I wonder if it the quality of the chocolate makes a difference? So many chocolates are wax, milk, and a drop of flavor that they may not be as effective as more expensive blends.
MrsH, it really doesn’t get any better than being on a chocolate diet!
It is my biggest downfall also.
SageMother, I think it does.
Various type of chocolates have different ingredients. I remember reading somewhere that if you are going to eat chocolate, to eat dark. Or, it could be just another one of those urban myths….
